I subbed for Gary on the "Lost Music Saloon". I have always wanted to do sort of a tribute to Pete Meyers, aka The Mad Daddy and I had a lot of fun doing the show. Pete was truly a mad genius at a time where djs picked the songs to play and rock 'n' roll was still in it's infancy. He is more than worthy of RRHOF induction. Special thanks to bloggers, V-Rocket and Kogar's Jungle Juice for some of the music and a point in the right direction to find other tunes. I hope you enjoy!!!

50 years ago, thats right, I used to listen to this guy on 1010 WINS NY and thought it was the greatest. All of us could pick it up on the east coast with there 50K watts of power. I came across this tribute by chance and still love the stuff. Laughed my ass off at Meyers doing his thing. Never thought I would ever hear it again. This guy was really great, to bad he ended up the way he did, a great guy. Thanks Dan, Pete Phillips–Fairhaven, MA

Listened to Mad Daddy on 1010 WINS back in the 60’s while in bed using my dinky one earbud transistor radio, pretending to be asleep. LOVED HIM. Didn’t know it then but I was on my way to becoming an esoteric radical of which Mad Daddy played a part. Was really sad when he no longer was on. Also miss Zacherly-Chiller Theatre on Saturday nights. Syl Richards-Long Island, NY

Definitely agree with exactly what you wrote, perhaps others can learn from this. It was a pleasure visiting your site and I will add saladdays.podbean.com to my favorites right now.
