Salad Days 02-05-09

It was a very emotional week for me, with the 50th anniversary of Buddy Holly's untimely death and the next day word of the death of Lux Interior. The Buddy Holly anniversary reminded me how old I am and the word of Lux passing reminded me also how vulnerable. After I read the news at work about Lux, I reminisced about him and the Cramps and the times we played together. With each memory, I realized I had a smile on my face. Lux brought smiles to many thousands of people over the years and that's how he should be remembered. My condolences to Ivy. Most of my best rock 'n' roll stories involve playing with the Cramps.
